3 years gone by... but i'm back =D

As I recall, it’s been 3 years since I last stepped in Long Banyok. God knows how much I miss that place. Well, the place I’m referring to is my mom’s homeland and yes I know she miss it as much as I did =D Plus, it is the home of my grandmother (we call her by the name “UKAU” which means grandmother in Morek) and my aunty A’a (one of the

people I know who can sure pull of a delicious meal. Make that every meal!!! =D).

There are only two ways of getting to the place, one: by car (which roughly takes about 5 hours plus) and two: by the only fastest water transport on the Baram River, the “express” which takes two long trips. First, from Kuala Baram to Marudi (about 3 hrs) and second, from Marudi to Long Banyok (2 ½ hrs plus), so total is like 6 hours trip. I know, it is a pain in the ass to sit my butt on the express seat for 6 hours.

BTW, Baram River (for those of you who did’nt know) is the river below the Baram Bridge before heading to Miri and after the Malaysian Immigration. Last time when I went there, I just use the car and of course you’ll need a 4X4 ride to get there, the road was kinda hardcore a bit especially during raining time.

But this time (on the 5th of Decenber), I just use the express to get there and got back home, haha a bit cheaper compare using a car (harap maklum, harga minyak mahal kali aa di sana, harga tayar lagi, itu ini blablabla =P).

Majority of the villagers in Long Banyok is Kenyah or Morek and very surprisingly they are also good in Iban language which makes it easier for me to communicate. But, sometimes I just don’t understand what the hell they talked about in their own language, which makes me felt kinda outcast in certain moments.

So f#ck it ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to bed early haha =D not your fault that I don’t speak and understands a little bit of Morek language. But since I got back from there, my Morek is getting a little better than before hehe. Let’s just say I managed to master a few words from my new buddies over there =).

I stayed there for 6 days and got back home to Brunei on the 11th. Unluckily I came there before Christmas =( coz Christmas there was like 2X crazy than what I had in Brunei, PERIOD!!! I mean, all the non-stop sound of firecrackers (it’s still on till after midnight even when you’re trying to sleep on the night of 24th, before Christmas), the sound of music non-stop till dawn breaks and all of the happy mood the people had on their faces.

Here are some of the lists of things that I might miss and not miss from Long Banyok:

- My grandma Ukau

- My aunty A’a

- The people of Long Banyok who is always so friendly =D

- Aunty’s f#cking hot shot curry and her egg fried cabbage, which I had every meal on the 6 days I stayed there and I never got sick of it!!! So a thumbs up to my aunt who is an excellent cook =D

- Eating more than a kg of grilled catfish (KELI). Damn, these bad boys in Long Banyok are so delicious, no shitting, coz they fed on the palm fruits (buah sawit) which makes them taste good compare to a normal catfish.

- Exchange the word ‘ANA!!!’ with some dudes in the football field, whatever it means… but it’s fun though haha

- Blood thirsty mosquitoes, which forced me to wear jeans and long sleeves every time I got into bed

- Funny shitty words coming out of some drunk dudes

- The muddy football field which was originally a swampy area

- A cold bath at the Baram River. OMG!!! The river was like 100 meters wide!!! No I’M NOT F#CKING Kidding!!!

SORRY FOR LATE UPDATE

Sorry guys for the late update =) It’s like more than a month since I last post… Actually I was too busy with the final exam and didn’t have time to update anything in here. Since some people complained that I didn’t update my blog (sorry2 haha), so I’ll try my best to update it as much as I can hehe… =P Cheers Mates!!! Thank you for viewing, I really2 appreciate it… =D

GAGS ON DATES

Here are some of the materials I found which can be a little less helpful, maybe, when you’re on a date:

WHAT THEY SAY REALLY MEANT ACTUALLY??

“We need to talk” = “I’m pregnant”

“I had a wonderful time last night” = “who the hell are you?!”

“Did you come?” = “because I didn’t…"

“I’ll give you a call” = “I’d rather have my nipples torn off by wild dogs than see you again~

“I love you” = “God, what have I gotten myself into??”

“I think we should be friends” = “you’re ugly!”

“I’ve a lot from you” = “next please!”

“I’m romantic” = “yeah I’m poor~”

5 THINGS I HATE THE MOST WHEN CHATTING ONLINE

1. Got disconnected when I’m still busy chatting with someone “yang diminati”

2. Crazy EX girlfriends who appeared out of no where, a year with no contact whatsoever and without any reason asking something like “masih sayang aku?” and “mau masih sama aku?”. Simple answer… NO!!! And do yourself a favor and find somebody else!!!

3. The one who answer “secret lah” when I ask who they are and where they got my email. Honestly, it pisses me off and I’m not f#cking free to play guessing2 games…

4. When someone pissed off with someone and say something bad about them using their “nick” as their so called “weapon”. Salah guna tu namanya haha =P

5. When I’m apologizing to someone who is clearly pissed off with me, via MSN, and replied something like “adakan ku marah?” or “mana ada aku marah” as if I’m so f#cked up dumb to realize that… I’m not born yesterday lahh~

So every time one of these things happens, I conclude them with a good old “FUCK IT” HaHaHa!!! =D

Beyond Friendship =)

I thought about the memories I’ve had with my friends when we were in KB for PSK karate event when I saw our PSK pictures on my laptop last time. Baam!!! Nickelback’s song, photograph starts to come out of nowhere haha. A few minutes of reminiscing and it did really felt like going back to the ‘good old times’…=D

Anyway when I think back all the things we did together was rather fun, even though the training was like hell but who cares when you like to sparr a lot lolz!!! The training was tough in the first three weeks but we got over it…

But all the hard work was well worth it. From the hardcore training to the endless beating, only God knows how it felt like ahaha!!! What I adore the most is our bond, somehow are more than friends… more than teammates… more like a family... Wesehh~~ =P

Three days in KB was rather interesting than how I pictured it would be. And I must admit that I’m impressed with some of my teammates. I didn’t expect that some of them would go beyond better than what I’ve seen before…

Me? Umm I only managed to get a 2nd bronze for the KATA team event along with my two other teammates, Amer and Eham, and a silver medal in the men’s under 85 kg Kumite (Sparring) and I got DQ at the final match… F#ck!!! Ahaha!!! Naah its oklah, no hard feelings though… =P

Well in the end, win or lose, it didn’t matter at all because the thing is we did have fun on the way… =) Congrats to all of the ones who managed to get medals during the event and all of the Tutong Karate Contingent: Rynnol, Sia, Niko, Ijat, Fadli, Fadil, Muiz, Mat, Hafiz, Bobeh, Eham, Aldrin, Amer, Li, Kimin, Nana, Nabilah, Rozi, Sally, Mama Atoi, Fatin, Yu and Zana …Guys I miss you!!! A lot!!! Haha!!! And a special thanks to our karate tutor: Sensei Naz, Sensei Hasan and Sensei Pg.Jaya, thank you for all of your support!!! =D

G.T.O!!!

Great Teacher Onizuka or more known as “GTO” is one of the greatest anime I’ve had in my DVD collection. Seriously! Eventhough the graphics are not that satisfying because it is a kind of classic anime (almost like Dragon Ball typed of graphics… Of course! The anime itself was published in 1999!!! How old am I at that time again?? Lolz!!! ) yet the story itself is great (suits the name of the anime itself hehe), well I didn’t get sick of it haha!!!

The main character, Eikichi Onizuka, who is an ex-biker, a 2nd Degree Blackbelt in Karate and the leader of a gang called the legendary ‘Onibaku’ from Shonen who kicked the asses of the top gang that time, the legendary Midnight Angel (and yes he is a bad-ass hahaha!!! =P).

Then six years later, Onizuka decided to put away his gangster life and has an aim to become the greatest teacher. Using his strong connections and power as a respected ex-leader, he was able to gain respect from his student while he was in his two weeks as a student teacher.

Graduate teaching practice and officially becoming a teacher, he was given a job at one of the high status private school in Japan!!! How lucky is that?! 1st day as an official teacher, working in a high prestige school!!! But his luck began to turn as he was provided with the most problematic class in the school which had forced a few of the teachers to quit their job!!!

Different kinds of students in his class had numerous attempts to torture him and tried drive him off from his career as a teacher. Yet it never stopped him from fulfilling his dream to be the greatest teacher.

Slowly he deals with his troublesome students and gain trust from his fellow teachers (esp. the principal and the P.E teacher!!!) whom distrust him due to his past backgrounds and from the results of the attempts made by his students which labeled him as a bad teacher.

Well, his methods sometimes can be un-matured and he maybe a pervert but he tries his all to be the best to his student even though it is impossible to him but that’s how this guy roll!!!

Really, this anime is one hell of a story although it is too long to watch, seriously… it’s almost like watching the Korean drama ‘Fullhouse’ from chapter one to the end hahaha!! But I did enjoy watching it. Really, from my experience I had never seen a teacher as a bad-ass as this guy over here!!! Hahaha!!!

Faber Drive - Second Chance

The song, second chance, is the first single coming from a Canadian band with a punk rock genre which was named “Faber Drive”, from their 2007 album “Seven Second Surgery”’ Members of the band: Faber(guitar and lead vocals), Hinsley(lead guitar), Krikit(bass) and Redbull(drums).

Man this song rocks! That’s why it’s one of my A-List songs hehe… It has a cool rhythm in it with a meaningful lyric to bring the song to perfection.

This song pretty much described about demanding a second chance and tried to fix everything that had done but realized that it was too late to have a second chance when the other person had already moved on with someone else, which explains the part “I’m in a second place to get a second chance”.

The moral of this song is:

(i) Be there with your loved ones when they needed you the most.

(ii) When you broke up in a relationship and wanted another chance, don’t be too late to ask her/him for it. Yet the outcome will be different… some may accept you back, some will need more time to think about it (in the end the answer is either yes or no) and some just wanted to move on. =)

So for the punk rock lovers, I recommended you guys to listen to this song! Well I sure enjoy listening to it, you..? =D

THE LYRICS:

I found the phone
I must've missed your message
You got it wrong, It wasn't what your friend said.
Tell by your tone, I've taken it too far again.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and fixed it all again.)

Your friends are telling you, You gotta move on.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and wrecked it all again.)
You turned around so I could tell you what took so long.
I don't know why i ever waited to say.
Cuz I'm just dying just to see you again .

Chorus:

Instead of holding you, I was holding out.
I should've let you in, but I let you down.
You were the first to give ,I was the first to ask.
Now I'm in second place, to get a second chance.

I should've known, took you and I for granted
Gotta let you know, I was never underhanded.
Tell by your tone, I've taken it too far again.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and fixed it all again.)

(i):

My friends are telling me they saw you with someone.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and wrecked it all again.)
You turned around so I could tell you what took so long.
I don't know why i ever waited to say.
Cuz I'm just dying just to see you again .

(Chorus)

(ii):

My last mistake, putting my friends first.
I tried to laugh it off but I made things worse.
You were the first to give, I was the first to ask.
Now I'm in second place, to get a second chance.

What you give is always what you get.
There's so much I haven't given yet.
If you could give another second chance.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and fixed it all again.)

My 1st Buffet Dinner

Today me and two of my other friends, Daus and Ash, went for a sungkai dinner at the May Inn Cafe at Halim Plaza... Wheww am i glad to see them coz im pretty damn bored myself during this week... Anyway... We supposed to meet up there like at 5 pm but i turned in like 50 minutes later coz i got stuck at Hua Ho Tutong buying a vaccum cleaner to replace the one i recked this morning, yes i did and im really good at it haha... So i got there late and when i got there my friend Daus said that he already paid for my buffet (which i didn't expect but thanks anyway Daus haha). I was like "what?? Ohh Okeeehh..." and when the sungkai time arrived, everybody was like busy taking the buffet. Wahh atu ramai~ People rushing2 to get food at the buffet table, including my friend, and i still sitting there clueless with my other friend Ash.

Really, i never been to a buffet before so Ash was telling me to follow Daus on the buffet table. So i got up and on my way to the table i bumped in to my old mate from my last school and yep i had a conversation there. Yeah2 bla bla bla bla bla and a few more blas with him and i remembered i haven't get my food yet. "Kash, have you grabbed some food yet?" and he replied "Yeah i have.. Why?". WTF?!!! I thought that he haven't get his food wahh~ Then he said again "Bahh you better get yours lahh or else the food will finish".

So i walk towards the table and still clueless on what to do!!! hahaha... I take a look at the buffet table while my hand was trying to grab a plate and i realised that most of the food was finished!!! Even the rice!!! Aiyooo so unlucky of me... =(

I walked back to our table, without food and looking at my buddy finishing his piece of fried chicken. Arghhh... Feeling frustrated, i told my friend that i want to change my buffet to a regular meal. Yes, really2 frustrated haha. I went to the table, feeling kind of embarrassed and told the waitress to change my buffet into Fried Noodles haha.

Damn... haha... Well it's ok lah, at least it's a lesson for me next time im going to a buffet dinner again aha "When people starts rushing to the buffet table, grab as many food as you can!!! haha!!! Don't i repeat don't get left behind!!! hahaha".
